Parent Community

As a parent at St. John the Baptist School you are in a unique position to get involved in your child's education. All families are required to volunteer a minimum of 5 (five) hours of their time each school year. Families are given the opportunity to do so by joining a committee, volunteering at lunch and recess, chaperoning class trips, mystery reader and many more. We welcome you to take an active role, not only in your child's future, but also in the future of St. John the Baptist School.
Prior to volunteering for any event at the school, parents are required to fill out a CORI form at the Main Office, once every school year. You must do this in-person and provide a copy of your license. This must be completed two weeks prior to any event.
If you would like to coach a team, lead a club or chaperone a field trip, you must complete the Archdiocese-mandated VIRTUS course: Protecting God's Children (for adults). Once completed, you must bring a copy of your certificate to the Main Office. This training is a one-time requirement.
